Do you know how patient Prophet Mohammad (sallAllahu alaihi wa sallam) used to be with his wives?! When Ayshah (radhyaAllahu ‘anha) used to get angry, he (sall’Allahu alaihi wa sallam) put his hand on her shoulder and made this Duaa :"O Allah forgive her sins, remove the anger from her heart, and save her from fitan (temptations) "
Do you know how romantic he (sallAllahu alaihi wa sallam) used to be with her?! He (sallaAllahu alaihi wa sallam) used to wait for Aysha to drink, then take the container from which she drank and drink from the same spot where she had put her lips!
Do you know how gentle the best of mankind used to be with his wives? He (sallAllahu alaihi wa sallam) used to let Ayshah (radhya Allahu ‘anha) put her feet on his honorable knees to ride the camel!
He (sallAllahu alaihi wa sallam) even used to call A'isha (radi Allahu anha): 'Ayesh' as a nickname!
Now I wonder why some Muslimat think it is hard to find a romantic yet a righteous husband?! When someone takes a role model in his life, he would be impressed by them and imitate them, isn't? For example in our time, it’s so normal unfortunately to see some young Muslim men taking actors and singers as their role model and becoming so impressed and influenced with them, so they imitate them in the way they are wearing their clothes, the way they are doing their hear, the way they sing, they speak, they walk, etc … So why it is strange to find a righteous Muslim man who is so impressed by the best of mankind and take him (sallAllahu alaihi wa sallam) as his role model in treating his wife and being romantic with her?
So dear sister, pray to Allah that you find a righteous husband who follow the Sunnah of our beloved Prophet (sallAllahu alaihi wa sallam) not just his sunnah in ‘Ibadah (acts of worship) but also his Sunnah in romance.
